Mourinho 'not confident' that De Gea will sign new Manchester United deal

De Gea had been moments away from joining Real Madrid in 2015, but the move fell through and the Spain global signed a deal with United until 2019 with the option to extend it by an extra year.

A plethora of players are being linked with a move to the red-half of Manchester, while numerous club's underperforming names are seeking switches away from Jose Mourinho's dressing room.

The 27-year-old Spaniard moved to England from boyhood team Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2011, which subsequently makes him one of the longest-serving players in United's current squad.

"All of them (who missed Tuesday's Champions League 1-0 loss to Juventus) were in their national teams", said Mourinho in his press conference ahead of Sunday's home Premier League clash with Everton.

"He's saying he's played a lot of football at the World Cup and since and that he's feeling it". Juve are an expert in intelligent deals.

And it might not just be De Gea heading for the exit.
