Disneyland hikes ticket prices again--cheapest daily fee over $100

That will cost you a whopping $1,949 - and that's a 23 percent bump from a year ago.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the increases took effect Sunday, less than a year after the park adopted price hikes of up to 18 percent.

On Jan. 6, the California theme park announced it would be raising its ticket prices by an average of seven to ten percent, with the least expensive day ticket now costing $104 for adult admission on low-demand days.

Those increased ticket prices don't include parking, which has jumped from $20 per day to $25. Parking and annual passes also went up.

The Los Angeles Times reports price increases in recent years haven't thinned the throngs at Disneyland and nearby California Adventure Park.

"Who knows if we'll be able to afford to go again", wrote another person who had recently visited Disneyland on Facebook.

"We continue to provide our guests with a variety of ticket offerings to meet their needs, while helping us to spread visitation, better manage demand and deliver a great experience", Disneyland Resort spokeswoman Liz Jaeger said.

Someone else likened the cost of going to Disneyland to that of attending a big-league athletic event: "Pretty soon it will go the way of pro sports season tickets and stadium food". The 14-acre addition is expected to draw huge crowds.

Disney representatives said that more days will be blocked out in 2019 for most annual passholders than they were previous year.
