Google Assistant now works with over 10,000 smart home devices. Today, in fact, Google revealed a seriously impressive number.

Amazon has been ahead of rivals like Apple and Google with their Alexa virtual assistant enabled devices for some time and now the company has revealed how many Alexa enabled devices have been sold. Its daily and monthly active user base has grown four times since this point previous year, according to Google.

In recapping how the Google Assistant "became more helpful in 2018", the company leads with an interesting prediction.

The company expects Assistant to be available on one billion devices by the end of this month.

The older Samsung TVs are also expected to get Alexa or Google Assistant support soon once the newer TVs are launched. It's also available on TVs, laptops, smartwatches and much more.

But the Google Assistant can solve that issue for many, by using Google's advanced voice recognition technology.
