The Captain Marvel box office received an even bigger push internationally, soaring past $455 million at the global box office to become the sixth-highest worldwide debut ever. Brie Larson gave fans catching a screening of "Captain Marvel" a thrill by serving them snacks, taking selfies and thanking them for seeing her new flick. It opened in India on Friday.

The film got negative audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, but got with an A CinemaScore and strong exit grades from women viewers.
