The Sunday Edition: President Donald Trump Tweetstorm

Barr has said he plans to release a version of the Mueller report to Congress by the middle of April.

"But if we can not reach an accommodation, then we will have no choice but to issue subpoenas for these materials", the New York Democrat said.

Anonymous members of the Mueller team have reportedly told associates the full report will be more damaging for Trump than the Barr letter indicated.

On 22 March, Mueller completed his 22-month investigation.

"The Sunday morning missive was a follow up to a much longer social media soliloquy from Saturday, in which the president accused Mueller's team of being "13 Angry Trump hating Dems", whose job ended up being a "total waste of time", after they spent "$30 million" and 22 months investigating every aspect of the president's life and campaign.

The attorney general, in another letter to Congress, claimed that it was his responsibility to redact large amounts of material from the Mueller report as it might reveal techniques and sources of USA intelligence agencies.

Russia's Government has denied interfering in the United States election. After Mr. Mueller made no judgment on the obstruction matter, Mr. Barr stepped in to declare that he himself had cleared Mr. Trump of wrongdoing.

Giuliani's comments come just days after The New York Times reported on the upset among some Mueller staffers over Barr's handling of the report - particularly the attorney general's four-page summary that noted there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation, and Barr's decision not to proceed with obstruction of justice charges against Trump.

Barr has faced criticism since penning his letter that he unduly sanitized the full report in Trump's favor, including on the key question of whether the president obstructed justice.

With Mueller failing to reach a decision on obstruction, Barr, a Trump appointee as the country's top law enforcement official, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein decided that obstruction charges against Trump were not warranted.

The White House correspondent responded by mockingly suggesting that Trump should pick one particular narrative to run with.

The memo only came to light in December after Trump had sacked Sessions and chosen Barr to replace him. House Democrats on Wednesday approved subpoenas for Mueller's entire report and any exhibits and other underlying evidence that the Justice Department might withhold.
