Trump on Rep. Omar: 'Extremely Unpatriotic, Disrespectful'

In the latest incident, Trump posted a video to his 60 million Twitter followers that used a short snippet of an Omar speech followed by images of the burning Twin Towers in NY in 2001.

That's how you treat a pair of small children who can't stop provoking each other, each blaming the other for having started the fight. It's unfortunate. She's got a way about her that's very, very bad I think for our country.

On Monday, Trump flew to Minneapolis to attend an event in a congressional district bordering that represented by Omar, in a state he believes he can win in 2020. "I think what they're doing is showing outrage toward words that should have been better thought out", he continued. He was targeting radical Islam, he claimed, but also said, "It's very hard to define". Likewise, the warning is the same: Know your place, or you will have no place at all.

Or maybe he doesn't want to know. "And every single Muslim in this country should be exhausted of it", Omar said during a speech last month.

From there she went on to say, "Here's the truth". Omar also said Muslims had "lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen and, frankly, I'm exhausted of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be exhausted of it". After a 2015 mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., with a Muslim couple as suspects, then-candidate Trump called for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering our country". She won't back down to Trump's racism and hate, and neither will we.

However the video Trump shared took just one sentence from her speech, saying that "some people did something" on 9/11. "She is someone that doesn't really understand life, real life, what it's all about", he told the local ABC station, KSTP News, when asked about the tweet. After the call though, the video disappeared as a pinned tweet at the top of Trump's Twitter feed, but it was not deleted. The video, containing graphic footage of the World Trade Center being destroyed, took one line of a speech she made in March entirely out of context, leading to a large amount of aggressive threats made against the congresswoman. But, as any seasoned politician knows, you have to think before you speak if you don't want to invite misinterpretation.

American Airlines cancels summer flights as Boeing 737 Max fears persist
Trump acquired $365 million to purchase 21 Boeing 727s to offer flights from Washington , D.C., New York City and Boston. American Airlines has been forced to extend flight cancellations due to the grounding of the B737 Max until August 19.

Her own party rebuffed her comments by passing a broad anti-hate resolution, though it didn't directly name her. Ultimately, it should not matter how adamantly Trump disagrees with Omar. The next day, Trump criticized the Minnesota Democrat during a speech to a conservative Jewish group, declaring that Omar "doesn't like Israel".

Later Monday, Trump announced he was heading to "the Great State of Minnesota!"

"Make no mistake: no congressperson, no American should be threatened".

Yes, Trump is a hate-baiter. "She is out of control, except for her control of Nancy!"

Pelosi's comments came during an interview conducted in Dublin, Ireland, by CNN's Christiane Amanpour, who asked the speaker whether she was anxious that Republicans would try to exploit claims of anti-Semitism in the 2020 election. That's a good description of our nation, too, when we're not acting like bratty kids.
